We first contacted Irene Allegro in the fall of 2023, as she had listed a mixed-use property in Ocean Grove that we were interested in. We had been looking for a few years to find the right property at the beach, but until that point, we had only been looking at single family homes.
The thought of off-setting our costs with a commercial space just hadn’t crossed our minds, as it was something outside of our scope of knowledge. Upon our initial meeting, it was abundantly clear that our relationship would be so much more than merely transactional.
She greeted us warmly with a huge hug, as if we were long-lost friends, and immediately put us at ease. Her quick wit and spry agility belie her age, but her honesty, integrity, and wisdom surpass all else. She assisted us through all aspects of an admittedly difficult transaction, with an out-of-state seller, tenants who were refusing to vacate, and buyers who knew next to nothing about navigating the mercantile process with the township. Irene never hesitated to pick up the phone and answer our never-ending questions.
In fact to this day, we rely on her knowledge and expertise when handling situations with tenants or building maintenance. Most of all, she has become a treasured friend, for whom we are most grateful.
